Rahul Das.
I don't merely deliver a product, i strive to craft the very connection between the product and the end user. Design, i think, lies in the spaces between us, connecting us. It should inspire singular, unique and memorable experiences.
I design products that sit at the intersection of complex systems and real human behaviour. After 16 years across enterprise, mobility, and AI-native products, I still believe the most interesting design problems are the ones where technology is changing faster than people's mental models of it.
My career has moved between scales: UX/brand work for Adidas, Ericsson, Aon, KPMG, and Barclays in the early years; then deeper into product and systems as Head of UX at Xeye and Adroit Labs; then building design and product from scratch at Bolt.Earth, where I scaled a team from zero to fifteen and shipped EV software used by 50,000+ people across India's largest charging network.
In 2025 I stepped back deliberately, not to pause, but to go deep. I spent the year learning to build, not just design. I shipped Trypic, a full-stack AI-powered experience discovery app for Indian cities, designed and coded end-to-end using Figma, React and Claude Code. I'm currently building Electrip, a trip planning app purpose-built for EV users. Both products came entirely from me - strategy, design, code, and deployment. That shift, from directing to building, has changed how I think about what design leadership looks like in an AI-native world.
I work at the strategic and execution layers simultaneously. I set direction, integrate GenAI into how design teams actually work day-to-day, and stay close enough to the craft to write code when it moves things faster.
I studied Industrial Design at IED Turin, Italy and hold a Design Thinking & Innovation Management certificate from IIM Kozhikode.
Outside of work, I make music — multi-genre, under the monikers SundogProject and Oort. The same principles apply - ideation, structure, and knowing when to break the rules
