Project Coil
Project Coil is an alternative and highly experimental interior solution inspired by wire frame furniture. A continous loop of wire was used to create the skeletal structure of this experimental automotive interior. The fabric that coats the wire frame is not actually a fabric but two layers of a hybrid polymer that sandwiches a layer of graphene making the whole console touch sensitive and interactive, thus making the whole interior a console.

A futuristic concept, the UI is displayed on the surface itself making the user interact and use the interface on the surface itself. The UX agenda here was to reduce or rather eliminate demarcated spaces of function and use cases and make the entire surface area of vehicle unified and a point interaction itself!
The frame is a continous loop of wires made of aluminium oxide making it mildly flexible and very strong. The idea was inspired by cane furniture used in India and S.E asia as well modern industrial design.
